In August 2015 I spent a week on the Isle of Harris before taking the three-hour boat trip to St Kilda. My original plan was a four-night stay on the Island but this was shortened to two days and one night, due to incoming storms, and the one night on Hirta meant extra waterproofing and pegs for my tent. The etchings were made from drawings on the boat to and from St Kilda and from a one day clockwise walk and a one-day anti-clockwise walk around Hirta. ‘St Kilda: And the sea below is still as deep as the sky is above’ is a boxed set of 14 etchings.
