Jason’s ‘Hunter River’ series of etchings from his Ocean Part 2: Pacific collection are currently on show at the Editions Gallery in Liverpool. The etchings are part of the exhibition Common Ground: Hunter River, which also features work by fellow artists Tracy Hill and Greg Fuller.
Common Ground: Hunter River explores the connection between the Hunter River in New South Wales, Australia, and the River Mersey in the North West of England. The six etchings which feature in the exhibition look at the complex, timeless relationship between river and sea; land and island. The work was inspired by Jason’s residency in Newcastle, NSW in December 2016, and the prints capture the strikingly different landscapes of the Australian continent.
The exhibition runs from 17 October to 23 November 2019, with a Private View on the opening night. Editions Gallery specialises in art from the North West England and is located on 16 Cook Street, Liverpool.
